What is the difference between Sound Design and SFX?
SFX is often referred to as sound editing of prerecorded libraries of sound effects. Sound Design creates sound from scratch or derives them from those libraries. Both are needed in any sound production.

What is foley?
While huge libraries of sounds are needed for SFX (doors, cars, horns, airplanes...) Many sounds are still recorded by foley artists (footsteps, cloths, eating, papers, squeaks...) Foley brings a human touch to a sound production.

What are audio elements?
Elements can be any audio file that you would like to provide us for mixing purpose. For example, you may provide us with prerecorded voices or original music so we can mix it with our Sound design, ambiances and SFX.

What is the difference between a Full mix and an M&E ?
We provide you with a Full mix version and an M&E (sometimes called the international mix). The Full version is the version with dialog, the M&E is the Music and Elements (ambiances, sfx, foley) version for dubbing purpose (premix version without dialog).

What is remote recording?
Remote recording can be used in two ways. For example,The talent is in Montreal and his or her voice is needed somewhere else around the world from a remote recording studio. Or the talent is anywhere in the world and the producer/director would like to record him in Montreal.
